Counselling Supervision

Who needs counselling supervision?

All counsellors practicing according to the BACP’s Good Practice guidelines should receive a minimum of 1.5 hours of counselling supervision per month from an appropriately trained/experienced supervisor.

In addition, trainees should ensure they receive at least one hour of supervision per eight hours of client sessions.

Things to consider:

Quality supervision enhances the services that counsellors provide to their clients. At MJP counselling, we believe in supporting counsellors to be the best they can be and that there is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach. We take the time to get to know counsellors as people first, and then how their knowledge, training and life experience can best be applied to their professional practice to better serve their clients.

Supervisors at MJP Counselling are all highly qualified, with extensive experience, professional registration and abide by the BACP’s ethical framework.
